25-year retrospective study: Botulinum neurotoxin for hemifacial spasm (2023)

This landmark Malaysian study — the largest of its kind in the region — documents the safety and long-term effectiveness of botulinum neurotoxin treatment for hemifacial spasm over 25 years in private practice. Key findings include progressively decreasing doses over time, extended treatment intervals, and minimal complications across the patient cohort.
