But for tics movement it hard to reduce. We do not want use medicine to reduce our son tics, because we worry for side effect. So I need ask you what method do you use for syndrome tourette chid patients ?

Dear Hendra, I am happy to know that psychological method is so beneficial for your son. However, medication is commonly needed when that is not sufficient. You have to balance the risks of psychological damage resulting from the motor tics against any medication side effects. Whether to add on medication is a hard decision to make. It has to be individualised to your child’s case. Best wishes.

Dear Dr. M K Lee,
I am an expatriate in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. I have a 8+ years soon (Tausif Hussain) who had cases of seizures which was diagnosed as cause of epilepsy and still under medication since he was 2 years of old. His EEG records that he has epileptic form of discharge, while we cannot see the seizures happening for last 3 years. His brain MRI – done first time at 20 months of age shows he has “Periventricular leukomalacia”
He also has developmental delays and thus need special support from both health (motor) and education perspective. Tausif he has been identified having challenge in vision, impacting his development in many ways.
With all these brief challenges, I would like to visit your clinic to get your support and advise on proper medication for Tausif. Please note he is currenly takeing Kepra 250 MG 2 times a day and Frishium 5 mg once in a day.
Since I am not familier with the country and medical services yet, apprecaite, plese advise how can I get your appointment
Sincerely Yours/Tausif’s Father.
